Shibori Dyeing

Over the weekend a few friends and I decided to try our hand at shibori dyeing with some indigo dye. It was a fairly simple process and a lot of fun. I experimented with a bedding set and was really happy with the results. I used the accordion triangle fold on all my pieces.

"Tattooed" Ceramic Snake

I decided to try out the ceramics studio extruder which (obviously) resulted in a snake sculpture. The sculpture itself took about 15 minutes. The overglaze detail was a different story.

Note to self: You will always regret the decision to cover a complex, curved surface with intricate, hand painted designs.

Park Road Jewelry Photoshoot

I had the opportunity to do a product photoshoot with Park Road Jewelry before the launch of their new website. I wanted the photos to have a light, dreamy quality with a heavy focus on the product. The jewelry is whimsical and colorful and we had a lot of fun bringing that out in the photos.
